The community of Condor, Alberta is located half an hour west of Red Deer on Highway 11.  Condor is a relatively small community that began in 1907.  Condor is predominantly a farming and oil field community.

Condor School is located on the North end of our community.  The school is from K-7.  It offers a range of programs as well as a great small town family and caring atmosphere.  David Thompson Play School is also located in the school yard.  Students attend David Thompson High School for grades 8-12.  Condor School has a fantastic playground for all ages, ball diamonds and an outdoor skating rink on the school grounds.  There is also a Sandlot on the southwest end of the community.  It has a range of equipment and a hill for children to play on.

The Condor Community Centre offers a marvelous setting for weddings, anniversaries, family and community gatherings.  Activities for children, seniors, and community are all done on a volunteer basis.  Condor Community Centre board meetings are held once a month except during the summer.  Everyone is welcome to attend the meetings.  The Community Centre hosts weekly bingos.

The Condor Fire Hall is located west on Railway Avenue.  The Condor Fire Department is made up of volunteers.

Condor is a community where neighbors help neighbors.  It is a wonderful place to raise a family or enjoy a peaceful retirement.
