Technology Services

Wild Rose Public Schools consists of 18 instructional buildings, as well as the central office and two maintenance shops. Technology Services are provided on a division-wide basis by a team of central office personnel:

Our mission is to provide a safe, secure, reliable, and sustainable educational network for our students and staff.

Our school division is  a single-domain Windows network, with Dell Canada being the primary provider of our instructional and administrative PCs and servers. Each school determines the strategy they will use to integrate the Learner Outcomes in Information and Communication Technology into the everyday teaching-learning process, with the division-wide support team available for assistance with hardware and software issues, as well as instructional assistance, if needed.

All staff and students within Wild Rose Public Schools have been provided with e-mail accounts on our divisional Google Apps for Education domain.

Internet and Online Safety Rules for Students

• Never give out your password to anyone

• Never reveal any personal information, your real name, where you live, your parent's names, telephone number or where you go to school to anyone online.

• Never send pictures of yourself or your family over the internet or post them on a website

• Never continue a conversation (email or chat) that makes you feel uncomfortable, that is inappropriate or that becomes personal. Tell an adult about any of these online experiences.

• Never agree to meet anyone you have met online

• Parents talk with your children about what they can and can not do on-line

• Keep your computers in open areas where other family members are present

• Be open with you child and encourage them to come to you if they run into a problem online
