Administrative Procedure 200
In signing the School Declaration form, the Superintendent verifies that the programs offered in that school are consistent with the School Act, the Program of Studies for the Province of Alberta, and all requirements of provincial regulations and curriculum. Principals are therefore charged with the responsibility for ensuring that the information provided is accurate in all respects, and reflects actual practice in the school.
1. The signature of the Principal on the School Declaration form indicates that the school program meets, in every respect, the requirements of provincial legislation and/or regulations.
2. A random sample of schools in the Division (approximately 3-4 per year) will be monitored to ensure that what is reported represents actual practice.
3. Monitoring may include enrollment verification, number of instructional hours offered, course/time relationships, etc.
