Dual Credit
Dual credit courses enable students to earn college credits while still in high school, giving them a head start in their postsecondary education.
- Students can earn credits in both high school and post-secondary at the same time.
- Students can take regular post-secondary classes while still in high school.
- Wild Rose School Division is partnered with Olds College, Lakeland College, SAIT and Northern Lights College to provide students with these opportunities.
- Tuition fees are paid for by Wild Rose School Division.
Important information
- Students are treated as adult learners and have the same expectations as post-secondary students.
- Learning outcomes are the same for high school students as they are for post-secondary students
- The course grade on your post-secondary transcript is permanent.
- Students will need to be able to balance their high school course work with their dual credit course work.
