For the “Aim for Success” Project in Drayton Valley

Applications are invited for a 0.80 FTE, temporary part time position of Success Coach for the “Aim for Success” Project.  The purpose of the “Aim for Success” Project is to establish addiction and  mental health promotion, prevention and early intervention initiatives for children, youth, and their families in Drayton Valley, Alberta. 

Working as part of a team, this position develops and delivers developmentally appropriate, evidence-based programming that meets the objectives of the Mental Health Capacity Building in Schools Initiative.  Delivery of programming involves large and small group work in schools and community settings, and focuses on increasing knowledge, building skills and fostering abilities that enable others to better their own mental health and wellness. 

The Success Coach will report to the Program Manager to organize programming and services.  He/she will work collaboratively with school administration and staff, families and community to increase their knowledge, skills and competence related to mental health and illness issues.  A complete description of the roles and responsibilities can be found here.

Position will commence September 1, 2020 and end upon the return of the incumbent or
August 31, 2021 whichever comes first.

Looking for a dedicated and passionate candidate with the right balance of education and experience to join our team working within the Wild Rose Division Schools. Excellent communication skills, effective planning and organizational strategies, and the ability to contribute within a team environment are essential.  Confidentiality is imperative.

The successful candidate will be required to provide original, satisfactory, and recent (within six months) Criminal Record Check and Intervention Record Check.
