A TEMPORARY PART TIME JR HIGH TEACHER
For Drayton Christian School in Drayton Valley, Alberta
Applications are invited for a part time temporary grade 6-9 teacher. The preferred candidate will have experience in grade 6-9 Language Arts and Social Studies. We are looking for teachers who have a vibrant Christian faith and exhibit a growth mindset. Preferred candidates will be team members who are excited about being a part of a growing and collaborative crew. This position is anticipated to be approximately 0.7 FTE with the possibility of an increase.
Start date will be August 29, 2022.
Drayton Christian School is a publicly funded alternative program of Wild Rose School Division. We are a non-denominational open enrollment Christian School whose staff members and students come from a variety of churches and denominations. Drayton Christian School has approximately 200 students from ECS to Grade 9 and around 20 full-time staff members.
A complete package will include a cover letter, resume, names and contact information for three references, a copy of their Alberta teaching certification and statement Christian educational philosophy/beliefs (please see the DCS Statement of Support) in a single google or pdf document is required. The successful applicant will be required to provide original, satisfactory, and recent (within six months) Criminal Record and Intervention Record checks as a condition of employment.
