 INDIGENOUS EDUCATION SPECIALISTS

To this end Wild Rose School Division reaffirms our commitment to authentic Indigenous education for all of our students.  This includes guidance from Elders and Knowledge Keepers, development of relevant Treaty 6 focused resources, professional learning for all WRSD staff, supports for school councils choosing to learn from and with Indigenous peoples and the continued evolution of dedicated Indigenous Education Specialist roles in both the north and south division.

The successful candidates will report to and support the Director of Indigenous Education- WRSD.  Two positions are available with FTE and employment conditions to be determined upon the selection of the successful candidate(s);  One candidate will work with schools located in Rocky Mountain House (6), Caroline (1), Condor (2) and one will work with schools located in Drayton Valley (6), Breton (2). 

 

Applications for this position will include a letter of interest and resume (including references).  Successful candidates will be required to provide a satisfactory and recent (within six months) criminal record with vulnerable sector check.
