for Drayton Valley Community Outreach School

in Drayton Valley, Alberta

 

Wild Rose School Division invites applications for the position of Principal for Drayton Valley Community Outreach School.  Duties will commence as soon as possible.

 

We are seeking a leader who exemplifies a dynamic, collaborative management style in an environment of positive interaction with all education partners who will model the mission, vision, and values of Wild Rose School Division. Candidates will possess or be working towards a post-graduate degree in administration, leadership or related field.  In addition, ideal candidates should have experience with teaching and administration at multiple school levels, demonstrated expertise in the area of instructional leadership and possess the strong communication skills necessary to the collaborative structure of our school division. High School experience and special education training will be considered an asset.

Drayton Valley Community Outreach School provides support to Grade 9 to 12 WRSD students

in Drayton Valley and the surrounding community who demonstrate resilience to achieve

academic success. These are students for whom learning has been compromised because of

difficulties attending usual school classes on a regular basis. A flexible learning environment

provided is designed to work with the student's current situation. Our teachers, administration,

and support staff work at creating personalized programs that will help students be successful in

school and more importantly, life!

 

A complete package will include a cover letter, resume, names and contact information for three references and a copy of their Alberta teaching certification in a single google or pdf document. 

 The successful applicant will be required to provide an original, satisfactory, and recent (within six months) Criminal Record check with vulnerable sector as a condition of employment.

 

The competition will remain open until a suitable candidate is found.  However all applications received by 4:00 pm on August 25, 2023 will be guaranteed consideration.
