A PROBATIONARY FULL TIME TEACHER

For Drayton Christian School in Drayton Valley, Alberta

 

Applications are invited for a Probationary Full Time Student Support Facilitator and Classroom Teacher at Drayton Christian School.

 

Student Support Facilitators are teachers who are knowledgeable about inclusive education and are skilled at facilitating collaboration and sharing best practices. The Student Support Facilitator supports the equity of access to quality programming and resources for all students. The Student Support Facilitator works with learning teams to provide students with the opportunity to access learning environments that are the least restrictive and most responsive.  Preferred candidates will have a minimum of 5 years of successful teaching experience. Knowledgeable about inclusive education and skilled at facilitating collaboration, sharing and modeling best practices. Building staff efficacy is essential and Level B assessment certification will be considered an asset.  This position will be 75% Student Support Facilitator and 25% Classroom Teacher

 

Start date will be August 27, 2024.

 

Drayton Christian School is a publicly funded alternative program of Wild Rose School Division. We

are a non-denominational open enrollment Christian School whose staff members and students

come from a variety of churches and denominations. Drayton Christian School has approximately

230 students from ECS to Grade 8 and around 25 full-time staff members.

 

A complete package will include a cover letter, resume, names and contact information for three references and a copy of their Alberta teaching certification in a single google or pdf document. A statement of Christian educational philosophy/beliefs, pastor’s reference, and a statement of Christian faith is required.  The successful applicant will be required to provide original, satisfactory, and recent (within six months) Criminal Record and Intervention Record checks as a condition of employment.
