REGULAR PART TIME LEARNING COMMONS FACILITATOR

for Charlotte Small Elementary School in Condor, Alberta

 

This position is covered by the Central Alberta Association of Municipal Employees Collective Agreement.  Please note, current CAAMSE applicants may be considered over non-CAAMSE applicants.

 

Applications are invited for a Learning Commons Facilitator position at Charlotte Small Elementary in Condor, Alberta. This person will be responsible for providing an inclusive, flexible, learner-centred space in our learning commons to provide technology support and be proficient in the use of software to catalogue and manage school digital and print resources. A maker-space philosophy is key in this position. The successful applicant will be responsible for working with school staff to deepen students' learning, have a strong budget background and technology skills, including online public access catalogues, cloud based resources and online licensed and open access resources. This position requires the ability to work with children in a fast-paced, inclusive and collaborative environment. 

 

This position will require 3.5 hours of work per day, Monday through Friday. The exact start time will be confirmed once the 2025–2026 school timetable is finalized.

Strong organizational, computer, and collaborative skills will be considered assets. Please highlight previous experience working with school aged children, work in a school setting, and/or work in a library. The successful applicant will be required to provide original, satisfactory, and recent (within six months) Criminal Record check with vulnerable sector as a condition of employment.
