Indigenous Languages in Education Videographer

 

Applications are invited for an Indigenous Languages in Education Videographer with Wild Rose School Division based out of Rocky Mountain House, Alberta.  This is a grant based, short term contract position.

 

As a successful recipient of Alberta Education's Indigenous Language in Education Grant, Wild Rose School Division and our Indigenous partners are seeking a dynamic individual to digitally record oral stories as shared by our local Elders, Knowledge Keepers and Storytellers.

 

The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills and excel at working with our local Elders and Knowledge Keepers. The ability to work with limited supervision and to adhere to an established budget is critical. Experience and knowledge of the First Nations culture is an asset.

 

A complete package will include a portfolio that illustrates examples of previous  work, as well as cover letter, resume, names and contacts of three professional references in a single google or pdf document.  The successful applicant must provide a current Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Persons Check as well as a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

 

Competition will remain open until suitable candidate is found.
