For HW Pickup School in Drayton Valley, Alberta
Applications are invited for a Temporary Part Time Grade 8 Teacher.
H.W Pickup is seeking a dedicated and engaged grade eight language arts / social studies teacher who is committed to working collaboratively with their grade team as well as the rest of the team to ensure a Powerful Learning Environment focused on improving the life chances of all students. At H.W. Pickup School, we emphasize student growth, purposeful collaboration, and a safe and caring learning environment where everyone is valued.
An understanding of Trauma Informed practice and Collaborative Response mindset will be an asset to this position. Familiarity with Collaborative Problem Solving (CPS) would be welcomed. This teaching assignment may have other assigned duties and is expected to be approximately 0.50 FTE. The assignment will be full days, every second day.
Duties will commence on August 25, 2025 and is expected to be for the full 2025/2026 school year.

The successful applicant will be required to provide an original, satisfactory, and recent (within six months) Criminal Record check with vulnerable sector as a condition of employment.
