Applications are invited for a Probationary Full Time Grade 6 Teacher.

Breton Elementary is seeking a Full Time Grade 6 Teacher. While experience in upper elementary would be preferred, it is not necessary. We are looking for a candidate who embraces research-based and current educational pedagogy and strategies for learning. Must have strong classroom management, an understanding in providing differentiated learning and utilize balanced assessment practices. Fostering an atmosphere that is built on connection and relationship is essential, as is a willingness to collaborate with colleagues and families, as a partner in education.

Duties will commence on August 25, 2025. 

Breton is a village in central Alberta, located approximately 95 km southwest of Edmonton. The

Breton Elementary School houses grades K to 6 and utilizes various strategies and programs to 

best meet the needs of the individual students.

A complete package will include cover letter, resume, names and contact information for three references and a copy of their Alberta teaching certification in a single Google or pdf document.

The successful applicant will be required to provide an original, satisfactory, and recent (within six months) Criminal Record check with vulnerable sector as a condition of employment.
