For Visions West Outreach / Kootenay School in Rocky Mountain House, Alberta

This position is covered by the Central Alberta Association of Municipal Employees Collective Agreement.  Please note, current CAAMSE applicants may be considered over non-CAAMSE applicants.  

Kootenay/Visions West requires an educational assistant who is highly motivated, culturally sensitive, enthusiastic and trauma informed. The successful candidate will have a passion for dealing with students who have experienced significant trauma and employ a toolkit of de-escalation strategies. Candidates must be comfortable with high school curricula. Preference will be given to a candidate who is able to balance engaging activities with structured academics. The position entails working with a variety of students in our alternate school settings and requires travel between schools. 

This position will be 6 hours/day, Monday - Friday.
