It’s School Bus Driver Appreciation Day!

May 4

The first Monday in May is set aside annually as School Bus Driver Appreciation Day.  Wild Rose School Division would like to recognize the hard work and dedication of school bus drivers.  They are there to start a student’s day off with a smile and ensure safe transportation to and from school through some of the most interesting weather conditions.  We would like to thank our drivers for their dedication especially during these unprecedented times and we cannot wait to see them back on the road! We truly appreciate the friendly smiles and patient dispositions of drivers as they greet our students each day. They play such an important role in our mission to provide students with powerful learning environments and improve the life chances of all students.

Thank you for all that you do which I know is a lot! You’re the first school face they see in the morning and the last one they see when school is finished. Sometimes this is not easy but you do it with a smile on your face! Thank you again!

Thank you for caring for the irreplaceable, precious cargo that parents send you daily. It is one of those jobs that a child might not fully appreciate until they have a delinquent driver, and then they really appreciate the steady, stable, structured bus ride. We teachers, we are glad you bring them, and we are glad when you come back to take them home.
