Accountability Reports

The Board heard the highlights from the 2021 -2022 Technology Accountability Report which included cybersecurity risks and restrictions, and continued reduced telephone service costs. 

The Facilities / OH&S Accountability Report, highlighted continued staffing difficulties, the new IUOE collective agreement, and new insurance requirements.

Policy Committee Recommendations

The policy committee recommended changes to the following policies:

Policy 02 - Appendix A - Board Self Evaluation
Policy 02 - Appendix C - Naming of Facilities
Policy 21 - Corporate Sponsorship

All recommended changes were approved by the Board.

Christmas

The Board of Trustees will endeavor to attend as many of the school's Christmas concerts as possible.  They will also be delivering cake to the schools in January as a thank you to staff and in lieu of Christmas treats.

Umbrella School Council Meetings

As requested by the School Councils, there will be a return to the in person supper meeting for the Umbrella School Council Meetings.  One will be held on May 2, 2023 in the south, and another will be held on May 16, 2023 in the north.  Watch for further details as the dates get closer.
